In his latest movie, the actor plays an ordinary citizen forced to become a secret agent for the sake of his country.
Based on the unbelievable true story of Greville Wynne, “The Courier” follows the life of a British businessman whose world is turned upside down when recruited as a covert spy during the dreaded Cold War. What begins as a simple mission of message delivery turns into an explosive operation that could decide the fate of the world. Receiving accolades from world over, including rave reviews at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, “The Courier” will now premiere on Amazon Prime Video from the 2nd of August 2021. If the buzz is anything to go by, Benedict’s stunning portrayal of a reluctant hero stuck between nation and morality just can’t be missed.
The film was theatrically released in India by PVR Pictures on 19th March, 2021.
