Delhi Government allows resumption of construction activity due to Chief Minister Arvind’s collusion with the builder mafia,

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ch. Anil Kumar said that due to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind’s collusion with the builder mafia, air pollution continues to deteriorate in the Capital, as the Delhi Government has allowed resumption of construction activity, though the Supreme Court had directed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on December 16 that effective steps should be taken to find a permanent solution to tackle Delhi’s toxic air.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind has been neglecting issues of Delhi to undertake political tours in other States, and making vain promises, instead of being present in Delhi to take pro-active steps to tackle not only the uncontrolled air pollution, but also the rising number of Covid cases, particularly the Omicron variant, which was a matter of grave concern.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that it was shocking that the  Delhi Government has not taken any decision to  reopen  schools. He said that with the schools remaining shut, students’ education has suffered, as children from poor families are unable to access online education due to lack of facilities. He said that CM Arvind promptly agreed to the demands of the builder mafia for the resumption of construction activity, due to the high levels of corruption involved. He said that it was also due to corruption in the traffic department of Delhi Government that polluting diesel vehicles from other States have been allowed to enter the Capital, as the Arvind Government gets a cut of the corruption money.
