One of the largest stations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, is progressing rapidly.

NEW DELHI – The construction of Anand Vihar RRTS station, one of the largest stations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, is progressing rapidly. The base slab and concourse level of this Station have been completed, and the construction of the platform level is nearing completion. Presently, the construction of the roof of the Concourse level is being carried out. The track laying at the platform level will commence soon.the first TBM working in the direction of New Ashok Nagar, has completed the construction of about 1.5 km of tunnel. The second TBM, Sudarshan 4.2, has completed the construction of its parallel tunnel for about 1.2 km. Along with this, the third TBM, Sudarshan 4.3, towards Sahibabad has completed about 700 meters of the tunnel, and the fourth TBM, Sudarshan 4.4, has recently commenced tunnelling for the parallel tunnel. These four TBMs have completed about 4 km of tunnel construction in both directions.

The station is close to various transport infrastructures such as Foot Over Bridge, Metro (blue and pink line), ISBT (Interstate Bus Stand), DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) bus terminals and Anand Vihar Railway Station. This would ensure seamless movement of commuters, providing them a safe, hassle-free and time-saving experience, said a NRCTC official.

The Anand Vihar RRTS station will be 297 meters long and 35 meters wide. Three lifts, five escalators and two entry/exit gates will be provided for passenger convenience.

It has been the constant endeavor of NCRTC to ensure maximum convenience of the passengers in the implementation of RRTS project.

For smooth and uninterrupted travel of passengers, all RRTS stations are designed to be connected to the already existing modes of public transport wherever possible and to be made as close to them as possible.
