Threads of Health by Metabolic Sutradhars – Season 1 Out Now

Rang De Neela, a cross-sectoral art and health initiative, is excited to announce the launch of their latest health awareness series, “Threads of Health”, a 26 Kathputlis Concept, by Metabolic Sutradhars. The “Threads of Health” series draws its inspiration from the Indian folk-art tradition of Kathputlis, which involves the use of string puppets, to communicate stories and create health education content on 16 topics. By leveraging this unique art form, Rang De Neela intends to engage communities and educate the society on important health topics in an engaging and culturally relevant manner

As part of the health awareness series, Rang De Neela has scripted and filmed short videos on varied health conditions with subject matter experts. Through the art of storytelling doctors along with kathputli artists aim to capture the attention and imagination of individuals in the age group of 25 years and above, making health education interactive and enjoyable.

Kathputlis in Rang De Neela are inspired by famous Bollywood characters and several eminent personalities. Senior “Metabolic Physicians” such as Endocrinologists and Diabetologists across India will turn into “Metabolic Sutradhars”. Along with Kathputli Puppeteers they will impart health education on 16 topics that are relevant to the society. Our characters in one episode are a look-alike of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ajay Devgn and they deliver dialogues like “Geet” of Jab We Met and “Bajirao Singham” of Singham.
