EEPC India Northern Region 51st Export Awards to 84 winners


EEPC India rewarded 84 winners at the joint acknowledgement of the stellar performance of their member exporters for fiscals 2018 – 2019. Shri Ajay Bhatt, Hon’ble Minister of State for Defence and Tourism, Government of India did the honors. . He said in recent years the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has played a key role in building India’s leadership role in international affairs and facilitating and building linkages towards greater International trade cooperation to enhance Indian industry self-sufficient and AATMNIRBHAR . 

The Government of India has set an ambitious target of USD 5bn of exports from the Defense sector by 2025. The Indian Defense and Aerospace manufacturing sector has emerged as the important engineering product segment in the exports growth. The Indian government has taken a number of steps to promote the participation of MSMEs in the defense sector.

Shri Arun Kumar Garodia, Chairman, EEPC India, congratulated the winners for conquering global headwinds to win this feat among the external issues. Back home, addressing the concerns of the exporters like allowing RoDTEP credit for payment of IGST against Imports, Inclusion of Iron and Steel (Chapter 72) under RoDTEP, Restoration of interest equalization rate back to 5% from the current 3%, Bringing down the corporate tax rate for Limited Liability Partnership firms to 15% from the current 30% and availability of Export Finance at Repo Rate of RBI are the needs of the hour. Chairman also announced EEPC India along with other industry bodies ‘Bharat Mobility’: India’s initiative to spotlight its automotive industry, aiming to be the world’s 3rd largest by 2030. The Mega Auto Mobility Show, hosted by EEPC India from 1stto 3rdFebruary 2024 in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, promises to elevate India’s automotive sector, and we are honoured to play a coordinating role.
