NDMC Flower Festival at Central Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi on 09th and 10th March 2024  


New Delhi Municipal Council is organising a series of events like Tulip festival, Music in the Park, Rose Festival, Flower Festival and Food Festival. Under the series of Spring season celebrations, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is organizing the Flower Festival this year after the success and appreciation from the large public of different walks of life for Tulip festival, Rose Festival and Music in the Park.

Flower Festival:  Now, NDMC is going to organize a Flower Festival with the different varieties of flowers in the heart of the capital, Central Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi on 09th and 10th March, 2024.

Inauguration: Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Delhi Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena will inaugurate the NDMC Flower Festival on Saturday, 09th March, 2024 at 10 am.

Floral Display and Decoration: The Flower Festival will be divided in 18 different sections for flowering display and decoration.  The Flower Festival is open for all and entry will be free.

Type of Exhibits: The main attraction of the NDMC Flower Festival will be the  Group of Flowering potted plants of different seasonal like Dahlia, Petunia, Pansy, Salvia, Marry Gold etc., Floral Figures of Animal/Birds, Colorful Floral Boards, Tray Gardens, Big size Hanging Baskets, Terrarium, Flower arrangement like Ikebana, Eastern & Western style.

Floral Structure: The park will welcome all with scintillating floral structures which includes Pyramid, Heart Shape, Selfies Point, Conical Floral Structure, Floral Cylinder etc. In the center of the park there will be a musical fountain with colorful lighting in the evening.

Stalls of Horticulture Items:  This Flower Festival will have various stalls of Nursery Plants, Bonsai, Machinery, Hydroponics, Cactus & Succulent and Herbal Plants etc. From these stalls, visitors can buy the Horticultural items like seeds of the different varieties of the flowers, hanging material, different types of pots, fertilizers, flower decorative item.

Music In the Park: Under this series, NDMC will also organize Music In the Park in the lush green area of Nehru Park on 09th March, 2024 at 05.30 pm.

Music Artist: The pinnacle of the evening will be a performance by three generations of the esteemed Dr N Rajam family. Dr N Rajam, a beacon of Hindustani classical violin, will weave an enchanting tapestry of music joined by her daughter Sangeeta Shankar and granddaughters Nandini and Ragini Shankar. The talented tabla artist Abhishek Mishra will add rhythmic depth to their performance.

Free Entry for all: The entry for the programme at Nehru Park is from Niti Marg and is free for all.  NDMC is reaffirming the commitment to enhance New Delhi’s beauty and vibrancy through various initiatives, with the tulip planting project serving as a testament to the council’s relentless pursuit of a more aesthetically pleasing and prosperous capital city.
