Speaking about her relationship with her parents, Sangita shared, “As a daughter, I feel that I’m more of a parent to them now than a daughter. I had a lovely childhood, teenage years, and growing-up years, although I was very busy because I started working at a young age. I come from a middle-class family, and while we weren’t very well off, my parents never made us feel like we were lacking anything. Everything was limited, but they conducted themselves with such grace and gave us so much happiness that we never felt deprived. We truly had a happy childhood.”
