Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ch. Anil Kumar said that the Kejriwal Government was protecting corrupt officials despite complaints against them, which was emphasized once again, as even after the Delhi Government Schools Teachers’ Association made serious charges against Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s OSD Praven Chaudhary to the Lt. Governor, of exploiting teachers and operating a corrupt Transfer-Posting Syndicate, no action has been taken against him, and he remains in his high-profile post without. He said that the teachers’ association has complained to the Lt. Governor against Praveen Choudhary and take cognizance of the matter, as he “virtually substitutes the Deputy CM of Delhi in the Education Department” as he has been holding the post of OSD for a long time though “no work portfolio has been allotted to him”.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that Praveen Choudhary holds the post of Vice-Principal in the Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi, but he has served as the OSD of Sisodia for a considerably long period, and has developed vested interest with the teachers body alleging that he has been “operating, facilitating and harbouring the department’s corrupt transfer-posting syndicate/nexus”. He said that as Vice-Principal, Praveen Choudhary was expected to teach 18 hours per week, but due to his position as OSD to Sisodia, he skirts his teaching responsibility.

Deputy CM has not taken any action against him, which was not surprising considering the fact that some time back, an AAP Councillor from the East Delhi Municipal Corporation, Geeta Rawat, who was operating from Sisodia’s office, was arrested by the CBI for taking Rs 20,000 bribe from a man for extending him favour to lay roof of his building without any trouble from the MCD officials.
