Jonty Sidhu’s blazing 75 powers Central Delhi Kings to thrilling four-wicket win against North Delhi Strikers

Arun Jaitley Stadium as Central Delhi Kings pulled off a thrilling four-wicket win over North Delhi Strikers in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 match on Monday.

Batting first, North Delhi Strikers posted a formidable 209/3 in 20 overs, thanks to superb innings from Yash Bhatia, captain Sarthak Ranjan, and Bharat Sindhwani.

The Strikers lost Vaibhav Kandpal early for 5, but Sarthak Ranjan and Yash Bhatia steadied the innings with a brilliant 93-run partnership for the second wicket. The stand laid the perfect platform for a big total.

Captain Sarthak Ranjan led from the front with a fluent 64 off 39 balls before being dismissed. Yash Bhatia then took charge of the innings, remaining unbeaten on a magnificent 90 off 51 deliveries. He found the boundary regularly and kept the scoring rate high throughout the innings.

Bharat Sindhwani added the finishing touches with an unbeaten 43 off just 22 balls, helping the Strikers cross the 200-run mark. For Central Delhi Kings, Tejas Baroka was the standout bowler with figures of 1/23 in his four overs.

Chasing 210, Central Delhi Kings found themselves in trouble after losing wickets at regular intervals. They were reduced to 86/4 before Jonty Sidhu and Aditya Bhandari came together to revive the chase.

The pair added a crucial 82-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Bhandari played a quickfire knock of 46 off 24 balls, while Sidhu took the attack to the bowlers with fearless strokeplay.

Even after Bhandari’s dismissal, Sidhu continued his aggressive approach and kept the required run rate under control. He smashed a match-winning 75 off just 38 deliveries, guiding Central Delhi Kings to victory by four wickets with more than an over to spare in a high-scoring thriller.
