NEW DELHI, November 15, 2022—Chairman of the Communications Department of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Shri Anil Bhardwaj, ex-MLA said that Congress has fielded strong, grass-root level candidates for the MCD elections, who understand local problems and the pulse of the people, and they will create history by winning with huge margins. He said that BJP and Aam Aadmi Party, to cover up their corruption and gross failures in the past 15 years and 8 years, respectively, were trying to create a false narrative, but the voters of Delhi have seen through their hollow promises and non-performance, which will be reflected in the final results to give a shock treatment to the BJP and AAP, who have done no work, except giving promises.
Shri Anil Bhardwaj said that three years after the NGT had directed the Delhi Government to clear the three garbage mountains consisting of 280 lakh metric tonnes, only 59 lakh metric tonnes could be cleared, which exposes the incompetence and inefficiency of both the BJP and Kejriwal Governments. He said that the broken roads in Delhi were major sources of air pollution in Delhi, in addition to creating problems to the commuters, and when it rains, 70 per cent of roads gets flooded as the drains are rarely cleaned, though both the MCD and Delhi Government gobble up thousands of crores in the name of desilting of drains.
