Entertainers Cricket League Opens Tender for Two New Teams After Blockbuster Inaugural Season

Entertainers Cricket League (ECL) is excited to announce the addition of two new franchise teams for the upcoming second season. The expansion opens up an exciting investment opportunity for prospective team owners to acquire new teams in what has already become one of the fastest-growing leagues in the country, as the tender process is now officially open. Interested parties must register by October 25, 2024, with auction scheduled for November 6, 2024.

With a fan base of over 700 million across digital platforms, the ECL presents a unique opportunity, combining cricket with social media engagement, bringing together social media superstars, entertainers, and fans from around the world. The league’s appeal is further underscored by the presence of Mr. Aakash Chopra as the Commissioner of ECL T10, ensuring a professional and engaging competition.

Expanding to eight teams, the ECL invites business leaders, celebrities, sports enthusiasts, and social media superstars to participate in the league’s growth. This expansion will help balance the ecosystem, creating more matches for fans and providing opportunities for social media superstars and entertainers. Additionally, the winning bidder will have the opportunity to decide their team’s city, offering a personalized touch to their franchise. Notably, all the four teams purchased in the ECL T10 Season 1 ended up being profitable, making this a lucrative and promising investment opportunity. The tender process offers a rare chance to be part of a dynamic league that blends cricket with entertainment—pioneering the new genre of “cricketainment.”

ECL’s debut season, held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi from September 13 to September 22, 2024, captivated audiences with its fast-paced T10 format and entertainers-driven cricket. The season not only saw 506,000 peak concurrent viewers online & 600 million minutes of watch time on Youtube and 41 million reach on Instagram, but also achieved an impressive 20.56 million television viewers across categories on Sony Ten 3 channels.

Himanshu Chandnani, Founder of ECL, shared his excitement about this expansion, “The incredible response from fans, sponsors, and entertainers during the first season made it clear that ECL is more than just a cricket league—it’s a movement. By introducing two new teams, we’re giving even more stakeholders a chance to be part of this revolutionary format.
