Haryanvi Hunters Triumph in Nail-Biting Opener as Entertainers Cricket League Kicks Off in Style
The inaugural edition of Entertainers Cricket League, India’s first social influencer-driven T10 cricket league, began with an exhilarating match between the Bangalore Bashers, led by social media superstars Fukra Insaan, and the fierce Haryanvi Hunters, led by the charismatic Elvish Yadav, setting the stage for a tournament that promises to blend cricket with entertainment like never before. The match ended with a nail biting finish where Harayana Hunters defeated Bangalore Bashers by 2 wickets.
The Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium here in New Delhi, was buzzing with excitement as fans gathered to witness their favorite social media superstars in action. Bangalore Bashers captain Abhishek Malhan (Fukra Insaan) won the toss and elected to bat. Batting first Bangalore Bashers posted a total of 178 for the loss of seven wickets, with a standout performance from Tanush Sethi, who scored 74 off 23 balls, while from Haryanvi Hunters’ Mahinder Tanwar took two wickets for 21 runs. Captain Abhishek scored 17 runs off 8 balls.
In response, Haryanvi Hunters opener and skipper Elvish Yadav scored 6 runs off 2 balls before getting out to a splendid catch by wicketkeeper Patel. K Chaudhary was their best batsman with 58 runs off 20 balls followed by A Chaudhary who scored 34 runs off 11 balls, while Gagan Sangwan from Bangalore Bashers took ECL’s first hattrick in the eight over. The match went to the last over where 12 runs were needed of six balls, R Mehra hit the ball to the dugout on the fourth ball guiding Harvanyi Hunters to a thrilling victory by 2 wickets.
